I sometimes use collages to help me get to know a character better. It has to do with mood and colour and atmosphere and not necessarily a literal interpretation of the images.
And it’s just fun to do, opening another part of the creative process.
I get images from magazines and books and online sites. I credit as much as I can but some of these are a few years old, and I honestly don’t remember where I got them.
I can say that Country Living magazines get regularly cannibalized for the Drake farmhouse!

thats completely how i saw lucy!
great to know she exists ‘in person’ haha
must be fun doing all that stuff.
it is fun!
Lucy imagined otherwise, but it’s ok too.
Like I normally do when I read books, I kind of pictured Lucy to kind of look like me. But I do that with pretty much all the books I read. If there’s a character that has similar characteristics as me, I tend to make them look like me in my head while I’m reading. I don’t really know why I do it I just do for some reason. Lucy and I are a bit similar though.
I imagined Lucy’s hair like Hayley Williams when he recorded “the only exception”…
Yeh, I can totally see that. Hayley Williams just with brownish hair
